Topaz Labs DeNoise AI removes noise autonomously, or with your direction, and it’s packed with power and simple. Find out which software is the king of NR. I dipped my toes in the water with noise removal software because, no matter how great our sensors have become at dealing with noise, it sometimes simply can’t be avoided. It doesn't seem to have affected Denoise much if I apply a color swap profile or BW profile before sending, but I haven't done enough to really conclude anything. DeNoise AI, Topaz Labs latest creation, goes up against Neat Image in this battle of the Noise Reduction giants. If you use Gigapixel AI do your sharpening and NR first before upsizing so it will have the best pixels to upscale from.Īnd I do a lot of IR. I would make the image look the way you want it to for the most part but with minimal sharpening if your are going to sharpen in Denoise or Sharpen AI. I would do the pano and/or HDR in Lr while still in the raw space if possible. But should I send pano or HDR or other stacking candidates to Denoise first, or after stacking/merging? I keep the color in ProPhoto wide gamut also right up to the end of the workflow before saving as a low res, sRGB jpeg.Īnd is there anything I should do BEFORE sending it? I seem to recall that sharpening, using contrast, or even cropping is a no no. Just make sure you use a high res tiff for moving around between the software. Then to Denoise and save, then back in Lr. ![]() ![]() So, going forward, what would be the best recs for a workflow for most images?įor my regular raws it's into Lr Classic, with it applying a custom profile for that camera body. I've been kind of tripping over myself with Topaz Denoise.
